What a gentleman he sounded like. I hope your mare is not too upset and allow her to grieve for him.
I wish my boy had made that decision for me a couple of weeks go it would have been much easier for me.

thank you again for the messages they do mean a lot he was such a gentle soul.
His mare Morag is ok she is grieving i am sure I have had that mare for 14yrs came to me "cooked" in the head and only ever bonded with another horse and tolerated humans, yesterday for the first time ever she wondered over for a head scratch and a big sigh..... I guess time will tell if she gets over him she is also in her late twenties.
