Could someone suggest a suitable car for my sisters 2 mutleys please. She has a RR and a Staffie and is looking for something more roomy than her current Forrester. She likes the idea of a 4x4 but any suggestions welcome.

Thanks in advance.

I've just bought a Fiat Ulysse people carrier for my lot, shed loads of boot space. I've got 2 Hungarian Wirehaired Vizslas - bit smaller than the RR and 3 Jack Russells.

Its a 2litre petrol and good on fuel too.

Peugeot do a version too, can't remember what it's called though. The Citroen Synergie's the same too, my friend has one, she has a Dobie, Lurcher and a Cane Corso. Used to have a GSD too.

Enough space in my Terrano for 2 dobes and a lurcher (have even squeezed my friends 2 labs in with them sometimes!)

I know it's not a 4x4 but my OH has a Peugeot 406 Estate which is better for big dogs as it has loads more room in the back than the Terrano (and the other 4x4's I've seen). also better for ageing large dogs to jump in and out of as it's much lower.

Well I was goint o suggest a Discovery or a Subaru either forrester or legacy outback till I saw that she had a forrester? Really suprised that 2 dogs fill that up!

I have a Saab 95 estate and I can fit in very large dogs. It has the largest area I have come across and comes with a little flap that discourages them from jumping over.

I don't know what the boot of a Forester looks like size-wise, but I have a Honda CR-V and there's plenty of room in it. We also have the custom dog guard. To give you an idea of capacity I can get 5 bales of shavings in the boot.

Thanks for all the ideas guys - Ive passed them on to her.

K9H - its not so much they take up all the room but her RR has such long legs that the staffy ends up sitting on them, so shes hoping to find something a bit bigger so the RR doesnt get dead legs bless him
