where do you get your shirts from to hunt in?

When i used to do local shows i was still at school so used to wear a school shirt and it didn't really matter. So just wondering if its worth popping to the local tack shop to get a shirt or if i could get any plain white shirt from anywhere? and if it would be best to be long or short sleaved(sp) ? I've been told to wear a hacking jacket and tie which i have i just don't want to make a complete arse out of myself lol.

As you can tell i am a bit of a newbie when it comes to all things hunt related so thanks in advance!

Seeing spots - it's not a daft question, don't worry! If you are concerned about "correctness" of your appearance, then don't be. Whatever you have will be fine - only the collar will show so a plain white shirt will serve. If you want practicality then as Combat Claire suggests - I really would recommend a thermal shirt if you hunt later in the season. At the very least, wear some thermals under your regular shirt!

I stole my hunt shirts from my son's wardrobe. They were brand new cheap white shirts from Asda. lol

I will be getting an eque-tech hunt shirt to use over winter though.

For autumn hunting I wore a normal short sleeve stock shirt as had a coloured stock to wear. I was a bit chilly though this weekend so will add another layer for next time.

I have a Musto Base Layer to wear when it gets colder, will wear that underneath the normal shirt, possibly another layer then hunt coat... layers are the way to go!

I wear old white school shirts for cubbing with a coloured tie, and for proper hunting I wear a hunt shirt from rideaway, i think its shires and only cost about £15, I wear that with a cream stock.

A plain shirt is fine, cream white blue whatever!:-)
