I went unafflicted jumping today at The Hand, I got there and entered class 7 & 8, which in the schedule were 80cm and 90cm. Not had her long and don't want to rush things etc. Anyway waiting for the course to be built and it's a bit bigger than it should have been and they have changed the classes, so I have actually entered the 90 and 1m class. OK. So we go clear in the 90 and then do the jump off and we win

Prize giving was a bit of a nightmare as Dolly understands how prize givings work - you go into the ring you get given your rosette and polo, they play some music you do your lap of honour. So we go in she stands waiting they start playing music, first beat she is straight into canter because music means time to go. Eventually manage to get her to stand, but obviously I have still got it wrong as Star Wars is playing and she should be off, so she starts stamping her front feet and rears!!

At this point the girl handing out the rosettes decides I should come back without the horse

As soon as she was allowed to do what she wanted though she just ambled round the ring in the slowest trot going

So do the 1m and she goes clear

jump off is a big 1.10 and she goes clear again and we came 3rd

Have they finished their outdoor yet? Going to be lush when they do....

PMSL at the star wars music.
Well done DOLLY!! DD you seem to be having so much fun, and coming home with prizes galore!
So whens the BSJA debut? sounds to me that you will be winning your entry fees and a bit more if you arent careful

YAY Phil will be pleased to hear shes settled in well.

Boss have you been there since they started the outdoor - it is enourmous - probably bigger than the petplan arena at Wales and West

All the wooden stables have gone and also part of the car park, It goes from the edge of the indoor until the end of the grey barn which you drive past when you go in. They have got as far as the clean stone and small wooden fence round the outside.

I don't know when I will go BSJA as all the smaller opens seem to have disappeared and I don't fancy doing a 1.20 and a 1.30

First will probably be Dorset in a months time as they have nice classes on.

Yes popped up to see Emily the other day and saw it- was quite shocked!!
I think theyre aiming to make it a bit more of a premier centre but theyre shrewd business people and I'm sure the smaller classes will be hanging around to make the money!!
I'm looking forwards to jumping there

What a fab result - well done you both. Dolly obviously knows what its about this winning lark! How did T get on?

She's posted on SA.
Apparently H has photos, though I know what her photography is like so I'm not holding my breath

T did fab, he jumped 2 really nice rounds to have an unlucky pole in each class. Someone needs to go there and video her so that she can realise how nice he looks.

Well done ! A good start together....when you back to BSJA'ing then ?

I need to find a show to go to which has a couple of classes less than 1.20m, proving difficult at the moment.....

Dolly is fab, a complete nightmare when she isn't in the ring but as soon as she gets in there (to jump) becomes a complete pro.
