Had our pony now for 10 weeks, up until today he refused point blank to load, went backwards, reared then rooted himself to the spot and wouldn't budge. Havnt tried for a while as I was getting so stressed out by him. He is only 13hh but can be a little git!!

We are due at vets tomorrow so knew i had to try him today, I even invested in a Dually headcollar!! Thought id try with normal headcollar first, the yard was quiet so off we went. He got his feet on the ramp then backed off, got his feet back on ramp I stood in front of trailer with a packet of polos and some nuts and carrots in his feed bucket. I just stood there and within a few mins he was in!! He stood for a few minutes in there let him sniff around then walked him out. Did this another twice, it still took a few minutes but he was in and not getting worked up, result!! No need for the Dually, another unwanted buy!!!

Lets hope he does the same tomorrow and travels well with my mare (seasoned traveller her!!)

Proud of my little man today as yesterday I could have killed him!!!!

Lol, they are sent to try us! Well done for getting him loaded adn I hope he does the same tomorrow. Remember to give yourself plenty of time and good luck! :)

He went in first time today no problem at all, he went to vets with my mare for his injections, travelled very well then stood like a soldier to get his injection in the trailer, then they both travelled home really well.

Very proud of him I think we have cracked it!
