After being a moany moo last week about having problems with Sidney and Hovis getting along I thought I'd post that I had a really lovely day yesterday!
Had the morning off and spent time with both boys in their stables. Both were gentle angels. I then had my first ever lesson on Hovis and whilst it probably looked like a bag of bolts it felt like we achieved a fair bit and my instructor was pleased. She also said Hovis is one in a million in terms of temperament and I've made a really good choice.
After spending the last week thinking I've made a big mistake buying a baby you have no idea how happy that made me!
The vet then came out to give them their jabs - both were fab and he commented how well both of them looked. I then turned them both out on my own with no fuss at all!
Came back in the evening and for the first time waded into the field on my own with all 5 horses there and was the authoritative figure you all said I should be. Felt a tit and probably looked one but it worked! Both came out of the field with no drama at all.
To cap it off for the first night I got all Hovis's feet picked out with no effort at all!
I know compared to all your great achievements its absolutely nothing but I was rather chuffed last night!
