Hi folks,

Wondering if you can help.

After looking for a horse since the beginning of May and 2 failed vettings and nearly £600 later I am beginning to pull my hair out over looking for my new best mate.

I'm going to Turlood Stables at the weekend and Judi Thurloe on Tuesday.

I was wondering if anyone else knows of anyone else reputable in the North East? I can span from West Yorkshire up to Northumberland.

After so much disappointment I really want to find that perfect pony soon.

Looking for a Gelding. 15.1-16.2hh, 5-8 years old to do low level competition but maybe with the potential to affiliate. Can be green as happy to bring on myself and can be forward going as I'm an experienced and confident rider however I would prefer nothing strong or too sharp as it now hurts when I fall off and I'm not as brave as I used to be!
 
Try helen bell, not sure what she has got in at the moment but always has some lovely horses in.
My instructor had a lovely 5 year old coloured for sale 15.2 not sure if it was mare or gelding though. Only backed this year so green. I was tempted myself. I will find out if its still for sale when i see him tomorrow :)
Pretty sure that i hear some not great stuff about turlood stables but i could be thinking of the wrong place.

I agree jack Thomas watson has a good rep

I'm sure i will think of others when i am going to sleep!
 
Give Mark Jackson a call. I went up and he showed me a few that met my needs and tried one out that was very nice. He wasn't pushy. Priced from 4k.
I didn't buy off him, realised I was in love with a horse I had already viewed but he had 3 at the same event as me 2 weeks ago and all were nice.

I think I'm going to cancel the trip up to Turlood as have googled some reviews and people either seem to love or hate them and they are quite far away.

Will get in touch with the people you have mentioned and hopefully have some luck :)
