Since I found this forum, I have read Ian Billinghurst's "Give a Dog a Bone", "Feed your Dog Raw Meaty Bones" by Tom Lonsdale and "The Culture Clash" by Jean Donaldson, all on the recommendation of forumites, on various threads.

They are fab books and have really altered the way I have thought about training and feeding dogs.

What books have other people found useful and what would you put on your Christmas book list, either for yourself or to get others to read?

Ive just bought Fight by Jean Donaldson. Train Your Dog Like a Pro by Jean Donaldson & Feeling Outnumbered by Karen London & Patricia McConnell which is managing and enjoying a multi dog household.

So That Others May Live by Caroline Hebard, about her search and rescue dogs, just started Inside of a Dog, by Angela Horowitz.

I love Brian Wootton's The German Shepherd Dog, Percy Elliott's Complete German Shepherd and the late Dr Malcolm Willis' German Shepherd - It's History, Development and Genetics, all very good explanations of the origins and development of the breed. But then again, I am beyond help :p

On a lighter note, Narrow Dog to Carcassonne is an excellent travel book featuring a whippet :p
