I don't need a specialist just a good trainer. Dogs are all pretty well behaved but I need to really be able to reinforce the "leave" command for ALL of them. On a one to one they are all responsive but see humans like some form of cat nip. Now at our ( busy) yard, they have loads of human and doggy friends all of whom are greeted with open arms. However on a walk, I NEED to be able to insist that my two youngest dogs do not try to rehome themselves with complete strangers, not all of whom can be assumed to love dogs. Treats do not work. All that works is me moving off smartly so the dogs follow me - but I really really must have this nailed so that I can take youngest Stafford on longer hacks. Recommendations? Sometimes having such people loving dogs is NOT helpful! Yes I can manage it by calling and putting them on leads whe I see people but that is obviously not a proper fix

Not sure you will ever get better to be honest- YOU need to be so much more exciting than everyone else- can suggest you cover yourself in TRIPE!!

No chance. I am a constant so not so interesting. However none of the blighted will ever go off with anyone else ever. Not even to join someone they know to go down the fields. Thanks for the recommendation I will give them a try.
