I took my boy to a dressage competition today and he did very well, he won one class and came second in the other (we only missed out on first by one collected mark!), so I was very pleased with him. I've only had him eight months and this was only our third time out, I bought him as an nutter who hardly anyone could ride, he would run away from any rein pressure at all and was incredibly sharp to the leg and extremely hard to stop, and used to bolt whenever he was asked to canter (and sometimes without asking!) and then was very hard to stop again as you couldn't touch his mouth.
So today to have him going consistently and softly on the bit, calmly cantering in a field of warming up horses and then to do so well in both his tests made me really proud
Sorry no ridden pics but I hope to get some soon so I can show you how nice he is, I'm glad I gave him a chance by buying him, and I know he still has a lot more to give
He is rapidly becoming my dream horse and I love him very very much
