As the title really - can anyone recommend a barefoot friendly farrier in the Bristol area? Preferably North Bristol / South Glouc but anywhere if they're ok to come out that way. Getting a new TB ex-racer, unshod & let down over summer and i want to bring him back into work once he arrives but keep him barefoot - any help / recommendations / advice greatly appreciated......but please be nice

I can recommend Sally Bell or Kate George who are both equine podiatrists registered with the equine podiatry association. You can find their details on www.epauk.org. Kate is a final year student and Sally has been qualified for years!

yes please nationaldressagepony, i'd really appreciate that. How much is the plain barefoot to come out, assess and do trim do you know? thanks
