Where can I find one? I have a lovely antique one that was left to me but I am buying from a friend and ebay is a little bit pants at the moment, anybody know where I can get a decnt one- new or old?

Saw some lovely crops on a stand at Builth, they don't have a website though so I'm not help at all! Can get the number for you if you want though?

If you're not in a great hurry try this site - it has everything that is coming up for auction from auctioneers and sale rooms all over the country (at least, those who wish to subscribe)

the-saleroom.com

You may have to wait a few weeks for exactly what you are looking for, but it would probably be cheaper than from an antique or sporting goods shop.
I've got some fantastic Cecil Aldin prints from it.

Have had an answer from that company - £85 next day delivery included - will take a week to make to my specification - is that good???
Personally I would go for smooth but thats just personal preferance with it in hand!???

Not bad price I would say,

Though I bought mine from Calcutt & Son 8 years ago & got it 2nd hand for £40 had 2 out 3 of my initials carved in silver & it is an actual whale bone whip so worth over £500!!! Thats the only bargin I have got & I never saw whip till it came to me!!!

Deff worth hunting (no pun intended)!! about as I said mine was a bargain from Calcutt & son, Give them a call or email & see what they have or even ebay???

Best bet ebay. I have just rung Calcutt & they don't have any 2nd hand whips in at the mo???
