hello :)
i've been looking around to find some good looking, good quality chaps and was wondering what experiences everyone had had with different brands? (i.e. ariat, tredstep, mark todd, etc.)
any help would be great!
Thanks :)

hi, ive had my ariats for about 3 years and there still going strong! would defo recommend. there a bit pricey but so worth it x

I've got a pair of tredstep ones which are lovely and seem to be very hard wearing - they've got the zip running up the outside of the leg (rather than the back) so don't look so smart but are much easier to put on.

They came from equestrian clearance!

Ariat all the way - I have the close contact gaiters and love them, and have had amazing customer service from ariat recently so wouldn't buy anything else!

I have Ariat chaps and Tredstep gaiters and they are great. Have had my Ariats about 7years and they still look as good as new.

I have had several pairs of the Tredstep suede gaiters, love the fit but do find that the press studs shear off and the elastic under the boot does wear and snap quite quickly. I now have a pair of Ariat brown leather gaiters which are smarter and more suitable for competition, that I bought new from Ebay for around £60. I do like them and they are very neat fitting around the ankles when worn with Ariat boots. PS, press stud sheared off after wearing only a few times but my lovely cobbler replaced it for me v cheaply!

Another vote for Ariats. I love mine; so comfy and smart, too. The popper 'popped' off one last summer after only a few months wear (I could well have knocked it off) but Ariat repaired it for free (very quickly); that must be a year ago, now and still fine. Excellent customer service :D

I do have a pair of black Ariat close contact, size M that are just a smidgen too long for me; new in their pack if anyone wants to make me an offer?!
