Its been 6 months, almost to the day since I last jumped Meg. Even then it was just a pop over a few x-poles and uprights in the arena, so nothing particually special.
So, today after a few weeks of hacking since she has been back in work (due to winter break) and having the kids today, so couldn't go hacking, I went into the arena. The YM has got up a selection of jumps, some with fillers, some with barrels and even 1 with an old carpet under and 1 with a blue tarporlin, not to mention a double of narrows and 1 resembling a bull finch!
After a lovely trot around working well, totally ignoring the dogs hunting for bunnies in the bushes, and popped into a lovely canter, as if we did it the day before, not showing any 'first canter' freshness, I trotted her towards a x-pole. Well, I didn't ned to do no more.... ears pricked, happy horse jumped it well. All her christmas's came today!
After that, SHE took me into all the other jumps like a pro with a tiger attitude, not even looking at the 'spooky' items or wobbling off her line at the double narrows. (single blue barrels 2 strides apart).
I love my horse, WE are both so happy today!!
Very self indugent post, but why not!!??
