Yes it was wasn't it, such a pity she couldn't bring herself to ignore those who obviously didnt have her best interests at heart and appeared to enjoy inciting some paranoia in her from time to time. Lets hope Lari is settled and she can also learn to just ignore the whispers in her ear from certain unhelpful quarters and move on and enjoy the genuine support she did and would still get on the forum. I hope you are OK Birker and that all has gone well with his move.
Me too Mrs J 🥰 It is only when you ignore them that it actually starts to be more enjoyable 😊
Generally this forum is a great place for advice, and is full of lovely knowledgeable people. Perhaps if more posters thought about the way they type things out then it might not be misinterpreted so often ☺️
Btw cannot believe you have fly rugs on! 😂 it was only 1 degree here this morning lol

Oh I wasn't pointing fingers at anyone in particular who may have posted something critical about Birker- I am just as guilty as others for sometimes getting rather irritated by certain posts that Birker made, as I am sure I also may have irritated her and some people with my posts, thats all normal forum stuff I think. I was talking more generally about people who I know have 'pretended' to befriend her when they have no interest or genuine concern for her welfare and have just goaded her on privately, behind the scenes as it were, because drama of any sort on the forum seems to be their guilty little pleasure no matter what that might do to another forum members mental well being. Not very nice and very two faced to do to anyone IMO.

Anyway enough of that, still wishing her and the handsome Lari well and I am sure we will see her back on here again at some point.

Thank you so much Red-1 for your kindness starting this post and everyone else who commented on it with kind words. ♥

Lari didn't go in the end! He was due to go around 1pm on the Saturday and Friday midnight my partner woke me to say Mums neighbour had rang him to say ambulance on way as Mum had severe nosebleed. My phone was switched off! Lesson learnt.

Mums on blood thinners so it wouldn't stop bleeding and its classed as an emergency. So we sped round to Mums, stood down the ambulance and took her to A&E. They attempted to cauterise it and then said they were finding her a bed as they wanted to keep her in overnight. We got home about 6am and went to bed.

At 9am the hospital rang to say they were discharging Mum so we went and collected her and dropped her home.

We drove to ours, got changed and drove to the yard. I got Lari in from the field, hosed his legs, brushed him, just waiting for friend to take us in her lorry and got a phone call around 11.30am from another neighbour to say she'd had another nosebleed, ambulance on the way again. So I had to ring up the retirement home, luckily the owner of the place is lovely and was really understanding!

So we turned Lari out, stood down the ambulance again - (during our first visit to A& E we had spoken to a paramedic on passing who had said that currently there was a 9hr wait for ambulances). So we rushed to collect Mum and took her to hospital again. They tried to cauterise it twice more before sticking a plastic thing up her nostril and filling it with water, which expanded. 3 hrs later it had stopped and they discharged her.

We stopped on the way to hers to grab a KFC - we had to cancel my Birthday meal out that evening as we were so tired so we had a KFC instead as it's her favourite, and stopped with her an hour and then went home.

She's okay this morning, so hoping it continues

So the lovely Lari (or The Tongue as he is also known by) is with us for another week and I couldn't be more thrilled. ♥

Here he is in a photo staff took of him that morning when they turned him out!

The goof ball looks like he has a head injury. 🤣🤣

Glad your Mum's okay Birker, a colleague of mine had to be whisked to A&E recently for the same thing, on blood thinners and got a sudden nosebleed.
Fingers crossed it's smoother sailing on your next attempt!

I hope you are ok @Birker2020 , it sounds like you've had a very stressful time. I hope that your mum os ok and that the rest of your week is nice and quiet (and stress free). Lovely to see the Lari photo, I hope that he has a lovely retirement; he is a lucky horse to have an owner who's tried so hard to fix his problems, and who has found somewhere for him to enjoy his retirement.

Sounds like a hectic day Birker …at least the silver lining is enjoying another week of Lari 😍

Happy belated birthday too. Did you know the rule that if the actual birthday day gets messed-up, you get to enjoy the whole week as your birthday and eat and drink what you want? 😁😜 💐🥳

What a brilliant picture of Lari!

Hopefully looking at that cheeky look on his face brings a little amusement to what turned out to be a disappointing weekend.

Things will come right in the end.
