I had a phone call today from the breeder to tell me that the bitch I had chosen has very sadly lost her puppies. The breeder thought something was not quite right and took her to the vets, they scanned her and she has reabsorbed all of them :O( BUT she really liked me and although I am not on the list for her other bitch who is due she has bumped me to the top of the list :D AND she had her puppies today :D

Our little light blue roan bitch is doing well and fingers crossed she continues to grow big and strong and we will go and meet her in 2 weeks time. I am really, really struggling to keep it a secret from hubby, I'm bursting with excitement and can't wait to see his face when I tell him in 2 weeks time :D

I think that she will be coming home on 8th December :D:D

Sad for the other puppies :(

but sounds lovely, let me guess, let me guess...!! Is it a Cocker Spaniel??
And you have done better than me, I would have told him by now!! ;)

Yep she is a Cocker :D We have had 2, Sophie (black and tan) who we lost 4 years ago and her daughter Amber (golden with a white bib) we lost on Boxing Day last year. Our house has been so empty and hubby was heart broken, still is, we both are.

Our house is so quiet and he has desperatley wanted to get another dog for quite a while and I've said no, no, no but I too really want another dog so I've put our names down for a puppy and hubby has no idea at all, i have kept it a secret for 3 weeks so far but finding out she had been born today is making it REALLY hard!! Only 2 more weeks to go!

I wanted a Blue Roan so it was totally different to Sophie and Amber and could be her own person witout being compared too much. I will make sure I have my camera with me when we go and see her :D

Omg yes please do!!
My Gran took on a blue roan Cocker Spaniel about 4 years ago "for a few weeks" as she had been mistreated by her next door neighbours ex OH...long story but they had to take the dog back and she was a mess.
A few weeks turned into 4 years ;) she is such a lovely dog and is now back with her original mum as my Gran sadly passed away in August.
She still gets so excited every time I go to see her and tries to run to my Grans (old) house next door as she must think she is still there! :( very sad to see at first, but she is getting better.
They're such beautiful loyal dogs :)

They truly are gorgeous dogs, very loving and a little bit mental!!

Our Amber absolutley adored her Daddy, followed him everywhere and she got a cuddle in bed each night before I did! :D

Sounds about right!! :)
We always say before Molly gets groomed her "spots are running" because when she's been clipped all her blue spots are very defined but as her fur grows they all merge into one big patch! :)
Aww get a pic of OHs face when you tell him too!! :D
