Nearly three months after he went lame with an inflamed DDFT, we finally managed to get Merlin, the vets and the scanner all in the same place - and everything looks absolutely textbook normal 




The vets have concluded that it was probably an inflammation of the tendon sheath rather than damage to the tendon itself and have said he can start light work again as long as it's in straight lines on a firm surface, ideally roads.
So I've drawn up an 8 week walking plan and it seems that this winter's project is going to be to teach Merlin to hack out on his own...expect me back for advice at frequent intervals...
