Poor you, just when you think things are getting back on track this happens! At least you spotted it early and fingers crossed this treatment works. How come our Horses who are both out ALOT more than they are in and fed a high fibre diet are the ones that get ulcers!

I don't know, it is not fair! They aren't exactly living a stressful, hard work lifestyle either!
On the plus side, thank god we live within easy reach of the best ulcer specialist int he country I suppose....
What a pain, I think you're going to have to found the "Glad to see the back of a miserable 2009 clique" soon...
Still, at least you have an explanation, don't rule out Monmouth yet - it's pretty close so you can always come and do dressage and have a drink
I'm sure he'll be firing on all cylinders again soon...

I think I am much more prosaic and stoical this year TBH! Last year I had all these dreams and plans and wanted to do a CCI* before I was 30, so it was all pretty awful. Now I am resigned to the fact that I am not talented enough or lucky enough and will probably not ever make it to Novice again let alone anything else. At least this year my life outside of horses is going well, that's more than could be said for last year isn't it?!
We'll see for Monmouth - I have tried to swap to PN from PNP and heard nothing. There is no way I am going to even attempt the PNP SJing and his leg is still fat after Thursday. On the other hand he is looking extremely well and is sound as a pound, so there is still hope! I am able to laugh about it all now....
