Ok have finally managed to clam down after incident this morning!
So rightly or wrongly having schooled Pidge in the side reins recommened by my instructor (fitted like a market harborough) twice this week, I decided to have a play jumping outside today. (no side reins on him)Couldn't believe the difference in him warming up as he dropped of own accord and didn't lean on the bit at all. I was chuffed to bits
We even managed to canter a 10m circle and it was lovely. Anyway decided to do some jumping as didn't want incident to put me off doing what I'd planned and he was really good. Still keen but when put legs on and kept contact he dropped and bounced and was pretty calm towards the fences. So after a crap start to the day it was just what I needed. Even managed to play with 1 or 2 strides in the double.
