Good Saddlers in Dorset

I've had 2 bad experiences with 2 different saddlers in Dorset and I was just wondering whether anyone knew of a good saddler with a big selection of not hugely expensive saddles i.e. I'm willing to spend £500 but no more. Am happy to have a synthetic saddle as long as it fits my horse.

Would be very grateful for any info because at my wits end at the moment!!
 
I've always found Nathaniel Underwood excellent, I see him, not the other saddler who works with him (nothing personal, just am very happy with Nathaniel).

Big selection of saddles, including synthetic, oodles of commonsense too, he's never tried to flog me a saddle... although I now have an Origins Grandee from him, and it's lush, me and my horse are so comfortable at last!
 
I use Nathaniel too, he is brilliant but im not sure what he would have in your price range

I'll second the vote for horse-e-things from Fordingbridge. Martin Andrew is brillliant. He has a small selection of second hand, but also various makes of new some of which are inexpensive. He is also quite happy to look at the fit of other saddles on your horse, so you could go to other saddleries that carry a big selection of second hand and he will look at those too. He is meticulous about the fit and can make minor adjustments on site.
 
I told Nathaniel that I wasn't fussed about colour or style, so long as it was comfortable for us both, and it didn't matter if it was a bit tatty. He came up with a black jumping style saddle, secondhand (but immaculate) for £595.

I sold my two Wintecs on ebay for £259 in total, she that was a lump sum back towards the new one!

Heard good things about Jasper Highett too.
