Can anyone recommend a black lightweight show jacket (for showjumping) for someone of my build. I'm 5 feet 1 and size 8 but athletically built with shoulders slightly wider than my hips and most jackets are too big, particularly length wise.

I've just ordered a Caldene Maid's Harewood jacket, 32" chest, which was a little snug over the shoulders, fine length-wise but way too wide over the hips and waist. It looked more like a tunic than a jacket!

I've noticed a lot of adult jackets start at a 34" chest only which is too big for me but with children's jackets, you just don't get the range. Why do they make horse gear so big - I'm not particularly skinny or anything!

Pikeur do a short jacket - its washable and fits really well (if you look at somewhere like Inchs its the one thats about £111). Just got my new one and its lovely.

John Whitaker childrens jackets also fit into that range - although I am taller and wider than you I had a JW from the Childrens range that fitted really well.
