Going over there next week. i need new half chaps and specifically want the Tredstep Deluxe ones. anywho even though they're made over here they are cheaper in the UK. so can any one help with tack shops in Exeter area???

Town and Country is a big tack shop near Exeter...in BroadClyst - they sell those gaiters I think...

I always used Farmers Friend in St Thomas when I lived in Exeter - they're still there!!! (Not lived in Exeter for 11years but grew up there.)

yes even with the conversion rate. i think its cause that particular style are much more popular in America and UK than here.

If you dont find what you want in Exeter (I used to live there too- its popular obviously), try a trip to Leonard Coombs in Newton Abbot.

Town and Country in my opinion are overly expensive, only really stock the more expensive brands and not as big as they seem but close to Exeter.
Whychanger Barton is further away and smaller but 'should' stock treadstone and as master saddler lots of tack!! Leonard Coombes is good but further still. There is Mole Valley in Cullompton but limited horsey stuff and what is there is more budget ranges. errrr can you tell I buy most my stuff off the internet as decent reasonably priced horsey stores are few and far between down here! LOL
