Good update on mare

I don't know if any of you have read my posts previously about my difficult mare on the yard that i was riding before and just after xmas but had to stop as she was just scaring me.......

she went to an event yard near us today (which is where she is going to get reschooled, taught manners etc and sold)

went for the riding assessment today and she went PERFECTLY didnt put a foot wrong, didnt nap or rear or resent anything!!!
The guy even managed to get her over a 4ft straight and oxer!!! (she was putting up a fight about a 3ft x pole before xmas! even though she has all this ability)

The guy was really REALLY impressed with her! I think his exceptional riding is what made the difference (im not bad, but im not an olympic standard riding!) and so she is going to him full time on monday and apparently there is ALREADY someone who wants her, and they think she will be suitable in about 3 weeks!

I am so happy as it is JUST the situation etc she needs to be in and I am really happy someone already is interested!

So when she is going round badminton I can go "I FELL OFF HER!!!

" well that nad won a dressage comp on her!

Happy for you and the mare as she's seems to have found the ideal job and for you to know her potential and knowing you couldn't do her justice.

I am really happy that they realised her ability and are willing to work with her as she is really an incredibly talented horse, but I do know i am not good enough (or more a strong enough rider........ I think) to have brought it out of her...

I am really looking forward to seeing how well she does.

Wow! What a happy ending. And lots of good karma to you for being able to appreciate the good riding of this guy, and not say "oh it was a fluke, huh." Says a lot of good things about a person when they can recognise a job well done by someone else.
