This weekend was the last chance to qualify for BD regionals so OH entered Weston Lawns on saturday and Swallowfields on sunday. Only needed to win one qualifier as already had the non Q win.
Great result. She won both medium's on saturday, won the first medium on sunday but seriously ran out of energy in the second test (rider not horse) but still managed second despite having to appologise to her horse 3 times during the test for letting it down.

All the more special as she did this on her little (14.1) welsh D.

I am now sick of driving the horsebox after a ridiculously long day SJ on thursday then another 200 miles over the weekend. I dont want to think about competing for atleast a week. Shame as I am supposed to be competing again on thursday and friday.

WOW what a super result

I thought so. Really pleased for her. She has worked so hard to get to this taking the little mare from the happy hacker / brood mare she was when we bought her 5 years ago.

I will admit to getting a little emotional when I watch them compete these days.

Brilliant result!!

I think it is fantastic when 'ordinary' horses prove that hard work and correct schooling can still pay off against the big designer warmbloods (not meaning to offend your wife by calling her horse 'ordinary' or any warmblood riders out there - but you know what I mean).

Yes I know what you mean.
She did get some down the nose looks when she first started to compete but not any more. The little mare has earned some serious respect. "Dam, Crumpwell Revelation is here" has been heard a few times in the last couple of years
But if one more person comments on my 'daughter'......
Wife is little (5') and when on the pony I suppose it is a natural assumption.

yep thats at home.

He is a she. Who says chestnut mares are no good

Wife is only 5' so they look good together. Her trainer ([removed]) didn't realise how small revel was for several months until she sat on her.

she helps Nigel Taylor I believe.

Is she expensive??

She does, amongst other 4* riders.
Not really expensive given her experience. charges £40 per session. You take horse to her.
