I've managed to wear through my favourite long socks. Sadly I have no idea where they're from as they have no identifying features, so thought I would ask the experts on comfort in all weathers - us horsey lot! I need to use wellies year round for various reasons and like to be able to wear them even if I'm in shorts, hence needing the long socks.
Criteria:
- long enough that they reach just under my knee - i.e., I can have bare legs otherwise and my wellies won't rub my calves
- slightly thicker sole for durability/comfort
- not too thick overall - I want them for summer wear really, so don't worry about enormous walking socks as that's not what I'm looking for
- don't dig in at the top of the calf (NB I don't have particularly wide calves, but I have a pair of cheap Katie Price ones that do dig in there, which is annoying)
Apologies for such a boring post
