Good XC Courses to Hire in Cornwall..

Depends where you are in Cornwall, I am near Truro, and imho the only decent, safe one is Chyverton Park in Zelah near Truro.

Horse and Hound have a map with cross-country courses listed on it.

Tregembo was shut when Lucy moved, Scorrier is ok but it is not maintained that well and the water is awful, its ok if nothing else is open. Chyverton is now the only decent place, well maintained with a very good selection of jumps up to BE100, lovely water, easy to get to aswell.

Chyverton is lovely, and I've heard good things about Porth Valley, to.
If you ever want anyone to go schooling with, I'd be happy!! ;);)

An yeah :/
Are you interested in BE? Because if we were ever going to go to the same event that'd be easy as we could pick up on the way etc. :)

Is that the one at Chyverton? I really wanted to do it but in on holiday -.-

Ditto previous comments on Chyverton and Scorrior. Porth Valley is a nice course too, but as people have said not really open to the public. If you're in Launceston does Andy Reeve (Polson Bridge) have any XC jumps - I'm sure he used to?

Ladock and Lanhydrock hold events but don't think they're open at any other time.

If anyone has a nervous/ novices horse (or rider!) I have a mini cross country with one of most things - sunken road, logs, drops, tyres, corners, coffin, ski jumps etc but all 2'3 max (I use it to get my babies started). I'm 10 mins from Chyverton...

Polotash, that sounds nice. Where's chyverton? Is that near newquay? Or how far is it from Launceston area? (I'm no good at geography :D)

You go straight down the A30 and its about an hour with a trailer. Go down A30, straight over the roundabout outside Truro, go towards Redruth for about 3 miles and its on the right near Zelah.
