Got a phone call from my Dad as I got in from work to tell me that our poor old Arnold cat had to be PTS this afternoon. They found him in the garden unable to walk, back legs completely gone. Vet said it was a stroke/aneurysm. He wasn’t in pain at the end and he was purring as my Dad held him at the end but it’s such a shock. He’s been part of the family for half my life. He was a grumpy old man even when he was a kitten. I’ll miss him so much. I’m in bits this evening. RIP Arnie-puss3DA3F111-927D-4B67-8E55-931215694B47.jpeg

How awful, but he was loved right until the end and it sounds like he knew it. It's a terrible shock and you will miss him terribly. I have a big multi-photo frame with all my favourite pictures of Daisy on my bedroom wall. When the dust settles maybe you might want to do something like that. Hugs to you and your dad xxx

Dad is very upset, after he retired Arnold was like his shadow, following him everywhere. Mum and Dad have another cat but apparently she has spent all evening ‘looking’ for him. My two girls are completely ignoring me, as all good cats should. I will miss him very much, but I’m glad it was quick and he didn’t suffer.
