Goodbye Forum -

Quirky - must be a moderator on the forum - hope she ends up in the yard form hell - and just hope her horse ends up being quick enough to move when the bratzillar shoves the broom in her horse face - well thats if she even has one! but from her reaction on her she will buy it a prezzie and pretend that the brat is pertect whilst shelling out for the operation on her soon to be blind horse!
That sounds a bit odd, are you sure the 'slap on the wrist' was from admin, there are no moderators on here, unless something has changed drastically since the change to the new forum. It sounds a little as if someone has decided to play at being a moderatore or admin! Now that would be a foolish thing to do, I would have thought......

oh, I hadn't read the original thread, I was just commenting on bratty kids in a general way!

I didn't see the other thread, but judging from this post and a few others of yours, im not surprised it was pulled.

LOL! Someone has moved the thread. Was it admin or was it....... a troll? :O

It wasnt me btw as i am a computer numpty!

yorksg - have had thread pulled and e-mails arriving - assume moderator....

cant even be bothered to look at my PM's - after post being pulled as the MUMMIES ARE TAKING OVER THE ASYLUM !

what ever happened to the polite society, good manners, disapline and morals?

That's a shame to know since I've just joined:confused:

I didn't see your thread but I've just left a yard that had a few screaming, out of control kids. The times they blindly ran too close behind my horse who has to be 'supervised' whilst eating as he may kick or bite. The YO often had to ask some of the mums if they knew where their kids were....... of course they didn't. Their antics caused a lady to fall off her horse once and the horse bolted down the drive.

Out of control kids on a yard is dangerous but its not the kids fault...... its the parents..... and that's why you will have had some sensitive responses because they know they're wrong!

GW I'm afraid if the tone of some of your posts on this thread and the wishes for harm to come to other forum members because they dare to disagree with you are anything like what you expressed on the pulled thread then I am not surprised you have had a slap on the wrist. The fluffy bunniness was always disapproved of without reporting to personal threats and insults other than fluffy bunny! Those who called others inbreeds, made racial accusations and expressed a wish for others' person, animals or property to be damaged in any way could or would have been reported and action taken.

I doubt you will leave the forum, those that do tend to just disappear quietly. Hopefully though you will learn to understand the difference between having a disagreement and resorting to personal threat and insult. Debate is enjoyable and can bring new insights, having someone throwing threats and insults around is unpleasant.

Gingerwitch, all you did was express your opinions. Are you not entitled to an opinion?

I've seen far worse threads, such as the recent 'I hate cobs' thread......and THAT wasn't pulled!

Ah the fluffies bless em, reported you to the Gestapo I take it for saying how it is, I dont think you should go, dont let them get to you, I dont and have been threatened a few times, it's more annoying for the whingers if you stay ;)
so stay and keep me company :p

Oh yes, I havent read the post, and now I cant:mad:, so unable to make my "own" mind up, if I had read it and didn't like it, I would just not go back to it or put it on block, simples, no need to involve the SS

Gingerwitch, I am totally with you on your hatred of screaming brats, the difference is i own the yard, so I can terrorize screaming kids and insist they do their screaming off the yard. My yard is not for self indulgent mummies and brats, it is for horses and horse owners, I don't mind children but I will not have them running round the yard, screaming, playing etc. We are not a creche, we are a livery yard, my insurance relates to a livery yard not a creche. People who want to enjoy their own horses are welcome, people who irritate myself and my liveries are given notice and asked to go. i do think that the button pressing mafia really are taking over the asylum for no reason

What ???

You are wishing injury on a complete strangers horse.

I have absolutely nothing to say that could possibly make a difference to somebody like you, some people are beyond help.

I hope you find another to have fun on :):):)

On behalf of the mummies....!!! I won't put up with poor behaviour from other peoples children - and no I am not a mother, but I am a doting auntie who spends a lot of time with her OTT and bright nephews. While neither boy can be held up as a complete paragon of virture, there is no way my brother or sister in law would put up with behaviour in the way that GW described. On reflection, I think the difference is that the boys (now aged 8 and 10) are not really left to their own devices. They are heavily involved in all kinds of sporting activities, go out with their parents and are the on heavy social whirl that chilldren of that age seem to have. However, there is no way they would be allowed to run around screaming at my yard! Other nephew has visited and been perfectly well behaved and we also have a couple of small children - but again, their mother does NOT allow them to wander off and amuse themselves. Funnily enough - its exactly the same with the dogs up at the yard, - with the exception of the YO's dog, everyone else has their dog with them or in the car. Not going off solo.

actually Quirky - she actually said 'just hope your horse is quick enough when the bratzillar shoves the broom in your horses face'. She definitly did not wish injury on your horse. In fact that appears to be quite the opposite, she's hoping it won't get injured.

Please everyone, read what is actually written, not what you want to read into it. It does save some of the rows caused by the misinformation.

I beg to differ Bosworth.
She appears to be wishing my horse to be blinded and me to be much lighter in the pocket paying for it.

A very bizarre attitude. I for one, being a horse lover would not wish pain, injury or suffering on anybodies horse, even if I despised them.

didn't see the post in question, but as a mother of 2 girls i can assure you not all parents let their children go screaming and misbehaving around horses.

We have a few kids on our yard, most are perfectly behaved but there are a few who I have to grit my teeth around. They haven't however spoiled or ruined my yard for me, I just try and zone them out.

Previously I have been on a yard with screaming teens, mucking about and running riot. I just left, and scowled a bit at them!!

For the record - the comments about the broom and the horse - were what was happening to me and mine - and mummy dear was stood there laughing saying "she's playing with her hobby horse" just as the brush was being jabbed into my old girls face ! - most sane people would have been mortifed!

I would never ever wish injury to anyones animal.

Any how rough justice - ive moved 1 - going for my 2nd and 3rd and one other lady with 2 horses is moving today as well - why - becuase she thinks the child is going to cause an accident.

Well, I for one wholeheartedly agree with GW, if I wanted to have kids around me at every turn I'd have my own! I certainly wouldn't be paying my hard-earned cash to keep my horse somewhere where I'm terrorised by someone else's!
It would appear that GW's YO is learning this pretty quickly, I'd imagine losing 5 liveries in one day may press the point home?
I don't think for a moment, that all kids are badly behaved - no one, certainly not GW is saying that. But I (and GW by the looks of it) prefer my leisure time to be child-free. And, since the last time I looked, it's a free country and we have the right to freedom of speech, we both have the right to do that.

Very well put!

I deliberately avoided one livery yard for this very reason. Maybe this YO will now click on how distressing it is for other liveries ? Money talks... sm x

This goes for me too.

I don't remember seeing the original post - but if people don't like something surely they can just stop reading it. I used to occasionally go onto new rider but on there it seemed that every time something was vaguely controversial the post got closed. It became very tedious and it would be a real shame for that to happen here.

I hate children on yards, we don't have any, and it is a very happy place without them :D

And for the record, I am a mother of 2 boys, aged 8 and 9, and I absolutely HATE having to take them down the yard...and I only do for 10 mins at the most and they have been once this year LOL!

Yep - post gone - no-one dare criticise mummy's or their wonderful offspring that make other peoples lives misery... someone has pushed the button on GW how dare i offend them by accusing them of the interbreeding of idiots or a sub ordinate race that has no idea how to conduct themselves in real life.... watch out where ever you are.... the mummys and their interbreeds will be taking over.... quite on a horse yard NOOOOOOOOOOO - to be replaced by screaming children and their sheep mummies whom have no idea what to do withtout the NANNY!

See you gang - thought you were brill but cant be doing with the fluffie mummies anymore !
Sorry but you are how old? I didnt read the original thread but your rant here makes you sound as young as the children you appear to have been complaining about.

I wouldnt keep my horses at a yard where there are lots of children, or yours.

We have just taken a friends pony on livery, she is for the friends two boys, aged 11 and 7. The arrangement is that they are never unsupervised, that sister and I have carte blanche to tell them what they must do and that they must do it when told. This is for all the horses safety and sisters and my sanity :) The boys already understand this and the mare has only been here 4 days. Friend is very aware that this will only work if the rules are followed. Friend is also aware that she is at our home, we have spent the week reassuring her. BUT this is the difference between a responsible mother and the one on GW's yard.

hpmm i havnt even seen the thread. however i doubt it was more offensive and bitchy than the "why do people own a cob" thread, and that is open?? actually, i agree with GW. one of the old liveries had small screamy children, no control, running round the horses, luckily cloud is so gentle, matrix however, is not and if they had run around his back legs they would have probably been kicked. its not bad kids, its bad parenting, so dont bring your kids to the yard if you cant control them, simplez:)

At my yard there are three small children, the smallest two are 7, one is mine.

None of them run around screaming, none of them cause an issue. They are there to do their ponies.

With that said, I have been on other yards where the liveries are screaming obscenities at each other and smoking round the haybarns!

well then there is no problem at all fizzimyst, if all kids were that well behaved there would be no problems at all:) god i know, some adults are worse than the kids:rolleyes:
