Goodbye Merlin

My beloved Dane x Rottweiler was pts very peacefully at home this morning after a short battle with bone cancer. I cannot begin to say how much he meant to us all, as dogs go he was one of the greats!

Im so sorry to hear this and a very kind thing to do having him pts at home, you know you did the right thing but it dosnt make it any easier.

Thanks guys, been a really tough day for us all. Hard enough dealing with it yourself, but helping the kids through it is heartbreaking.
The lovely thing was I was holding his head, gave him a kiss, told him what a good boy he was and how much we loved him. As the injection started going in he sighed gently and slipped away. It was so peaceful, I know he was ready and I did the best for him.
My wonderful husband has burried him under a bench in the garden so we can be close.
