It's still so strange. I spent a few moments this morning where she is buried and shed a few tears, but then thought about the many happy times. It's coming home to her not being there that's the worse thing. I've started coming in through the front door rather than the back, where she would charge out to meet me...

Will I get another dog?

Maybe, in the future, but not for a long time. I had wanted to do agility with Syd but having horses and competing regularly meant I didn't have the time to dedicate to it. IF I ever got another, it would another ACD puppy, and now we have no horses, I'd do agility with the puppy.

But for now and the foreseeable future, I'm trying to plug the hole in my heart that is Syd-shaped and no other dog will ever fit in it.
