I am so sorry to hear this has happened. I hope you take comfort by posting on here, we can all understand that unbearable pain you feel just now and you & lovely lady are in our thoughts x

My consolation is that he was, being his usualy old miserable self :), until the very last, the same as your girl.

I think they know when the time has come better than we, and the final and biggest bit of love we can give is to say goodbye with dignity.

It is easier for me to say this now, but I send out much love to you and your girl xxxxxx
 
What a lovely tribute to a wonderful horse. So sorry for your sad loss and I am in tears after reading your post. Hugs to you. RIP Sovereign. Run wild, run free. She'll always be in your heart where ever you go. x
 
Such a beautiful heartfelt tribute, it's as clear as ever in all your posts how much she was loved and spoilt. You gave an old gal a very happy time before she went, you should be so proud. x
 
Sentiments not lost on big blokes either! I lost her in the avatar 24th Jan 1993 - a big part of my life in every way - we had seventeen years together out of her thirty three, I didn't have to make a decision about her, she just drifted off in my arms. Only seems like yesterday, I'd actually argue with anyone who says time heals - it doesn't you know - it just gets further away.
