Some of you may recall I posted a thread in December asking if it was too soon to say goodbye to my mare, Dolly.
She unfortunately had a number of medical issues and she was becoming unpredictable when handled, which we knew was her telling us of pain. Unfortunately we couldn't get her pain under control and all her issues were ones which could not be resolved. The recent cold spell showed how much she was struggling, and I said I would not put her through any more.
Today we said goodbye to our beautiful Dolly, she came into our lives nearly 8 years ago as a green and untrusting 10 year old. We've not had the easiest of journeys, many people told me to sell her, but we were a partnership- she was my heart horse. I will miss her every day, please give your horses an extra cuddle tonight whilst you look up at the sky, the brightest star will be my girl.
