Since having my trailer, I have discovered there is a shortage of trailer friendly car-parks around. They either have a height restiction or are too narrow to turn a trailer in.

Maybe some kind folks could mark such car parks that are trailer/lorry friendly. Thanks!

Hi, yes good idea?

But excludes so many old, very valuable old friends, and their input. By relying on IT, we exclude so many...

And maybe include others...?

Google is an enormously huge threat to our security. It was discussed on the Jeremy Vine Radio2 show last week.

Only yesterday, a friend brought an overhead pic of our place, to the pub, which he'd printed off GoogleEarth. Layout of yard, doors, vehicles, school, gates, even my horses were on the photo.

Our permission had not been given.

Big Brother has arrived, let's all think carefully before we encourage more intrusion.

Hi friends!

I'd actually like to actively discourage more invasion into our privacy, like to see less reliance on IT, and more concentration on working with local folk, more human conversation/normal deals, etc. I will vote for a politician brave enough to say this!

If i want to buy anything, the best way to get the best is from local folk, who know you, and who work with you in your own community. Worst is getting something from folk who treat you as a stranger (ScottishPower + BT spring to my mind.....)

One example - My partner bought some shellfish from a fishmonger in Kelso, Scottish Borders, on the understanding that they were fresh langoustines from Berwick. They were very expensive, but a weird shape + tasteless. So we read the label on the packet - 'prawns farmed in China'. Main prob? We go up there about 3/4 times a year, friend uses same fishmonger for hotel... Well, did do...

I only hope that some of you out there will join my quest in wanting Britain to be a self-sufficient island again, and question why we appear to have this need to travel, buy crap stuff abroad when we have such good stuff in our own country, open ourselves to scams innumerable, + communicate diseases which we + our animals aren't designed to cope with.

It makes sense to me to encourage folk to enjoy our own lovely country. With an OS map, not a scary GoogleEarth invasion!

I have serious worries about it all.

I'm not quite sure where to start spreading this message, so i'm starting here! Thanks, + with my best wishes, BS x
