Puppies are now almost 5 months old. Mitch is noticeably taller. He’s the calmer of the two, but must be the one getting attention and likes dancing round. He settles for cuddles quicker than his brother. He’s twanged his back, I’m hoping he’ll come good with rest, but that’s tricky with 2.

Goose is the Energizer bunny, never stops, does zoomies round the garden whilst we watch, bemused at his boundless energy. He adores Bear, the feeling is not really mutual. He hates his collar/harness/lead and lies down when he sees them, but loves his walks as long as no scary cars are nearby!

They’re still very small compared to Bear.

I confess to having a soft spot for tiny Goose (I shouldn’t have favourites, but omg, I ADORE him)

However, Mitch is adorable, squeaky, vocal, incredibly affectionate, wiggles his whole body when he sees you (and has almost stopped being the excited pee puppy, thank god!)

When they play, they make the noise the Tauntauns on Empire Strikes Back do, a ‘baggling’ noise, so they are the bagglers (verb, noun, adjective!) Video of a tauntaun below.

They are really superb pups ,theymust be a joy to have around.

Years ago my first poodle woke up and couldn’t walk on one leg..I was horrified..what on earth had happened, she was fine the night before.
Off to the vet who was ready to send her for an mri..he suspected her spine was misalligned.
I stuck to my guns and asked for antiinflams ,some medrol and rest for 4 days…she was right as rain in 2 days…it turned out she’d slept awkawardly on my bed and her leg had gone down the gap at the bottom of the foot rest…

I bet if you keep him on lead for gentle walks, rest him and give anti inflamms..he will be fine..

They are so pretty!
What has he done to his back? Something muscular?

Looks more mechanical than soft tissue to me. He’s been walking oddly, I don’t know if it’s hips/spine. He’s going to the vet in an hour, they gave anti-inflammatories and advised 5 minute walks, which he’s done since Friday. It doesn’t stop him trying to leap up on the furniture. Everything is covered in boxes unless we’re sitting on it!

A practise we used when we first had dogs. They’re small animals only, we swapiped to the mixed practise some years ago, but they didn’t have the correct vaccine to continue their injections and I didn’t want to start those over. We aren’t thrilled with that lot anyway, particularly after the one vet told us Bear was going to die imminently (he’s perfectly healthy) so decided to keep the pups where they were.

They are both lovely! Are they crate trained? That is one way of keeping them quiet and still when necessary to recover from injury. I do hope that it is something that is easily sorted out.

Yes to crate trained, separate ones, they scamper into their assigned crate whenever told, it’s hilarious! Yak chews are the key to calm currently. Or put Goose in the garden for zoomies whilst keeping Mitch indoors.

I made the OH discuss x rays, getting these done on Monday.

Very huggable, they are gorgeous. I always really wanted one, until my brother in law got one and the high energy was really something compared to our already very active collies! :D

The energy can be a bit crazy. 2 is definitely mad! Fortunately, they are in a routine but it did need separate crates, which is a new thing for us. Mitch is a morning person, Goose is an evening boy.
