Goose/Jumpers rump?

This was from last year- they're looking to crack the SJ proper now (he tends to panic and take the lot down once one comes down) and move on up to Novice O.o

Well done to her! I assume they're competing next season?:D

Agree with cortez, its not a jumpers bump. But when his topline has built up, it will go. And whilst I'd be a hypocrite to say people shouldn't comment on things the op hasn't asked about, it should only be where either op or horse will benefit. Off topic constructive criticism is useful. But pointing out confirmation faults on a horse op already owns isn't constructive at all. Just rude imo.
Thank you Littlelegs, couldn't agree more with your point.

Yes :D Lots of RoR showing, she wants to try sidesaddle on him as he's got beautiful manners and looks the part for the classes, she wants to try hunting him as well and maybe team chasing... And, of course, eventing :D She has 2 others to compete now, so she'll be a busy busy bee! Got to love them though, ex-racers are just the best!

Good luck to them next year!:D I want to see some reports on the forums ;)
I wanted to do RoR showing but at the end of the day it depends how well Tag muscles out and what the end result is. That's the only type of showing I'd do anyway! To be honest I'd pick an ex-racer over any other type of horse anyday!

Would love to see a pic of his face! :D ❤

This is Tag just being..Tag

No he definitely does not have a jumpers bump, so quit your worrying :) TBs (in particular) without much topline or muscle in the sacroiliac region often show the indent you are seeing on your horse's back. It's fairly common in unfit horses.

Can I share? My boy, who is an ex PTPer who never made the grade, has a similar bump in the lumbar region and also has a pointy bum. He hadn't raced for a year when I got him, had done 6 months schooling and then sat in a field for 6 months. Even when he was working, he still had that roached look about him. He was recently diagnosed with mild kissing spines and I have been working him in the EquiAmi (a pessoa would do similar) for the last 4 weeks to get him to build up his back muscles. He had an accident with some sedalin he reacted badly to and wrenched his back so it has been a long, slow journey back to the saddle and we are only riding 10 mins per week at the moment.

However, enough about me, just wanted to show you this to reassure you that 'bump' will go away with work (we don't have hills so it's an even slower process ):

To the untrained eye there is little difference, but the vet and the back person are very excited at the muscle development along the topline.
