that's after last week GB said that " this country will be goverened by the laws of the UK"
so last week GB didn't think much of adopting sharia law and this week he reckons RW is an OK guy

I don't believe I made that connection.
Al-Qaeda are an extremist Muslim organisation, however, and to have someone like the Archbishop of Canterbury, and head of the Church of England, state that it seems 'unavoidable' that sharia law will be implemented in some way in this country, will be used as a propaganda victory by Al-Qaeda and Islamist fundamentalist groups, both in this country and abroad.
These groups want the Islamisation of the West - implementing sharia is one of their goals.

I suspect Gordon Brown knows that if he attempted to give ANY recognition to sharia law in the UK, Middle England would feed him to the wolves! (Mind you, any self-respecting wolf would spit him out!) And my feelings on sharia law are in no way racist - hell, only 40% of British Muslims are in favour of applying sharia law in predominantly Muslim areas of the country, according to the ICM poll. A hell of a lot of Muslims share the view of any SANE person - that laws under which women can be stoned to death for adultery, and petty thieves can have both arms amputated have NO place in the UK. Nor do laws that place women in a permanent state of inferiority while giving men overwhelming power, including the right to beat 7 bells out of their wives!

Indeed. Then of course there's the irony of having an un-elected prime minister (that'd be Gordon) praising Williams' "integrity", when quite frankly, Gordon wouldn't know integrity if it bit him on the ar$e.

Good comment, our law always states that it is criminal for ALL men to hit their wives (regardless of race etc) but lets be honest even in british non muslim culture it goes on.
