Hello,
Did anyone go to this and have a really good memory on prices fetched?
I've had my eye on a horse from a dealer and was wanting to ring up about but not going out to Ireland until next month, just looking at the catalogue this morning and dissapointed to see he went through the sales on Saturday. Just wondering if he sold and how much for. Please pm and I will give lot no and description.
Thanks

The standard of horses and ponies on the monthly sales (first sat of each month) would usually be of a lower standard than those on the performance sales and as "measles" said the prices are usually at the bottom end of the market. That said the odd "gem" can be found as some people enter these sales as the entry fee is cheaper and the vendor does not have to provide a vet cert ( it is up to the purchaser to vet the horse once its been bought) thus saving on the cost of having the horse vetted as well. I can't recall the results of the monthly sales being published in the "Irish Field".

Just got an email back they can tell me he sold but cannot tell you how much for, so if anyone went or if it's in the Irish field

Do they mean they have the information but won't tell you? If so, that's odd because it was a public auction, presumably, and anyone who went there would know. Is it possible that they are mistaking something about their Data Protection Act? I'd ask again and point out the the information was "in the public domain", which is the technical term

Yep they said he sold but they cannot give out amounts, I thought weird too as they are published. It's just a horse I was interested in a few years ago when I got my last horse, he was a bit of a stunner but from recent pics looks a bit scruffy and as he's older now I was just wondering what price he got as he was for sale for a good price a couple of years ago. Looking at recent pics I wouldn't look at him twice but I know what he could look like and what he's done previously

You can go onto the Irish Field website and for Euro 3 can have 7 days access to the last 12 months editions - would be worth doing this next saturday
