Got a pony

today for my daughter who is two He is totally bombproof and a gem. He has been living out and on haylage but is a bit poor, what would you suggest feeding him to put a bit of weight on?

Grazing is ok, he is coming on weekend. Can't do photo.s on here for some reason

Congratulations. I would ask when he was last wormed and just be careful with spring grass etc. Yes a pic would be good. Dont let him get a fat little ponio. A block mineral lick (not one of those big molassed one). I am sure a little pony will be fine in a well grazed paddock and just some hay at night if in. Be worth getting a weigh tape or someone to condition score ie if he hasnt been worked he may muscle up etc. I always sort worming out with a newbie. One of mine came from a good ? home and was loaded with worms, but was always fine thereafter.Good luck.
