should have known better...got bitten yesterday by the schoolmaster :eek3:
i was entertaining him whilst my instructor was attaching the draw reins to his girth. next thing i knew i was bitten in my forearm. must be some sort of reflex reaction...a lot of soft tissue damage and just broke the skin and made a hole in the jumper in the process. past experience told me its going to lit up like xmas lights in the next few days...blue, purple, red, yellow and may be green...

at least you've got some evidence of the pain! my mare kicked me in the knee when I was changing her rug a few weeks ago and I had the tiniest bruise ever, and I blimmin hurt, I was walk around the field crying haha!

but every time I go out drinking I seem to come home with random bruises that I don't know how I got! including a really bruised different knee, the night before the kick! apparently I didn't fall over, so god knows where that came from? Wonder if Kelsey thought she'd try and even the knees out for me? haha
 
Ouch, I'll join you in the festive bruises. I slipped down the lorry steps yesterday, landing in a muddy puddle. My back is black and blue, I can't sit or lie properly, I also have bruising on my bum cheeks, top of leg, elbow and under my arm. I twisted my wrist at the same time.

Everytime any of my family come near me I cry 'don't touch me' Ibuprofen is my best friend.

I have a fat lip! My filly I ride at work smacked me in the face while I was on her on Friday because she got excited about going onto the gallop. My top tooth went right into my bottom lip and there was lots of blood and it hurt lots! She was rearing up afterwards, rearing normally scares me but it hurt so much I didn't even care she was going up and down! It's not really noticeably fat though, only gets noticed if I mention it :/
 
I've got a lovely multi coloured bruise about the size of my palm on top of my foot, was putting rug on and got stepped on by back foot, that's a first! Took a few seconds of yelping to be released.
