Got me thinking - Top Riders: do we know who is who on here?

It took me 8 years to be accepted in Lincolnshire, but maybe I wasn't trying very hard :rolleyes:, and being with a Lincs farmer, thereby stealing him from women with more subservient attitudes, didn't go down very well at first.

Have you ever been to Malmo?

I could carry this list on too.Its why I am ambivalent about horse sport.When you see something really good, like M Whitaker at Olympia or Ellen riding that very difficult mare, it lifts your heart.Then, though, you think about what is probably going on round the back and in yards generally.I have to say though, I don't know the Whitakers and they may all be saints for all I know.
 
.....from the experience I have had with 'professional' people, I am perfectly happy that I am not one, and I wouldn't give the one I am thinking of a goldfish to look after, much less a horse......

Doesn't matter who you are or what level you ride, aslong as you can give constructive advice and respect each other.
 
HCH & Dragonslayer - must say its about time. Some of your posts are quite rude. HCH you come across as threatening.

I am new on here and this is what I was on about the other day with my bullying post, but people thought I was a troll.

The funny part is, that unless you are personally known by people here, in fact you could well be her. Or I could, or any of the others...

This is exactly why you are suspected of trolling.

I came on here with a legitimate post - this is why people leave these forums.

Difference of opinion is fine - bullying is not.

i don't really care who's who :o

i read and consider all advice etc - then use what i think will work for me and my nag - doesn't matter who it comes from - if my idols (WF-P or MK) came and told me to ride said nag in way i knew wouldn't suit i'd say no - if a RS pupil suggested a way that i thought could work i'd say yes thank you for suggestion and try it

however if anyone tells me their way is "THE ONLY WAY" in a blinkered and arrogant fashion - then i tend to approach their advice with more caution that someone who says 'perhaps try this... etc'

people who can only see one way of doing things and dismiss all other scare me lol!!

i value any input as sometimes even the most obscure suggestions can make you view something in a slighty different way - but have enough common sense to question it and consider if it would work for me/nag before i put it into practice - regardless of who it comes from

Ages ago I criticised [on here] a top rider for not patting his horse after it won him a big class, too busy punching the air and waving to the crowds. Next time I saw him on telly, he made a point of stopping in front of a camera to pat his horse.

I like to think I was responsible for that LOL
 
Doesn't matter who you are or what level you ride at, even the most novice riders have something to offer the most experienced. after all, novices are the ones getting the basics drummed into their heads, and sometimes backto basics is the way forward. and the pros sometimes forget that ;)

Who am I? mmmm..... My names Jennifer Caw I'm 20, i like to think that I'm rather knowledgeable for my age, and I'm famous for my blunt attitude (which many don't like), and stotting about the yard in scraggy jeans and last nights makeup - perhaps resembling that monstrosity Jordan if she actually did some real yard 'riding' or yard work, all after being dragged through a hedge ;)

therefore - i am more famous than all of you!
