Absolutely agree. I am not interested in celebs, except Tim Stockdale and he is a hunk!

Seriously there are people on here who really know what they are talking about, doesn't matter if they are famous or not.Their experience and advice is worth their weight in gold.

And this is the crunch! YES there are GREAT people here, BUT.....then you get the people who ask for advice, then clearly ignore it, then it frustrates people, and they post their frustration, THEN get accused of being bullies etc etc etc....

And no, I don't give advice on many threads because I know that there are many here who know much more than me what they are talking about!

This is also true, some people don't want the truth.

I know when I posted asking if Fany was too fat, I was not wanting people to say yes, I wanted reassurance she wasn't. Of course she was, so I got told that. I am pleased to say it opened my eyes and she has now slimmed down.

I rarely give advice because there are many more experienced people than me. I prefer to support and encourage. Ain't I just a saint!!!!!!!???

Ooh, this thread has changed since this morning.... I thought we were all trying to find out who amongst us were famous!!!

And now it seems were all fighting to see how humble we all are...

I've never really thought about 'Famous People' being on the forum and quite frankly its not what I use it for either! Although if anyone fancies donating me a horse box, I would be very appreciative

I did have abit of a giggle about DragonSlayer being a 'bully' mind. As DS has said, sometimes you will hear what you don't want to hear. If everyone was afraid of speaking the truth then we would be no better off.

I've been given so much advice on here, and God knows I have needed it!

Ah, but how do we know who knows what, therein lies the question

I've seen people on here who I know really do know their stuff, but I've seen them raise a question or a point and they get put down so hard and so swift by so many, often with the tag line of 'Oh when you jump sixteen feet courses', etc. Do others see the irony?

I do see the irony but I also see the other side of it.

I suspect they have answered the same, or similar, questions dozens of times and sadly it sometimes shows thast their patience is wearing thin. I am not criticizing, I do understand, only too well. It is difficult to maintain a nicey-nicey persona in the face of endless rather silly and repetitive questions.

I always assume everyone knows more than me and rides better than me...but then generally I'm one of these rider who over analyses (harshly) what they do and have in the past been known to argue with an instructor when they said something I've done was good and I thought it was rubbish for xyz reasons...if any of my previous instructors are reading this, sorry!!

I mostly like this forum, even though there are some posts where it seems to get a wee bit out of hand.

I haven't really asked for advice much, but I have read others questions and taken on board the bits of advice given that seem to make sense to me and ignored what I don't like or won't fit. I couldn't care less if someone is famous or not, treat your horse and other folk with care and compassion and you are ok in my book.
