So so so so so so so (xmillion) happy. Ive ridden Sunday and yesterday and its been wonderful. After a massive batch of lost confidence sparked by a few nasty falls some bad behaviour and general unhappyness from my boy I am now back on board. Must admit I was very nervous. He moved back to his old yard a week ago on Sunday. I lunged him in the with tack on but no gadgets and he was already a different horse. RElaxed, no snorting and eyes wernt out on stalks. Dropping his head down and relaxing really working nicely. Was too nervous to get on but a friend was supposed to be coming to ride him saturday afternoon for me. More to help with my confidence in getting back on. Any way she couldnt make it so I rode Sunday morning. Fellow livery held him while i got on, walked me up and down the yard a few times. And that was it. she got on her horse and off we went. For a lovely quiet hack around the woods. No silly behaviour no problems, LOVELY. I loved it, felt so releived to have my boy back and to be back in the saddle. Wasnt actually nervous whilst riding it was just the getting back on part. Rode in the school yesterday evening as well, got on on my own in there and schooled for 25mins. again was a tad nervous with the intial getting on but once on board and walking off was absolutely fine. Mostly did walk and trot work and had a little canter on each rein. He was a tad strong but not silly in any way. so will be riding again this evening. Need to keep him in regular work and begin getting him fit as planning to do some sponsored rides with him in the summer. so Yep, pointless post, but very happy to have a shred of confidence back and my lovely horse. Heres a pic as got told off for not posting one on the last of my "pointless happy threads" CC welcome however not on my clip lines as yes they are horrific!:o:p

Yay! For you being happy, getting your confidence back and your horse being relaxed, after that you've moved him back to your old yard.

I think he looks very cute, and very clean, hm, :o I must have been reading to many threads mentioning mud, mud and yet more mud lately, for him being clean to be the third thing that came to my mind. The first thing that came to my mind was that, that muzzle looks like it was made to be kissed.

Hope it continues onwards and upwards for you.

:)

Its amazing how individual turnout can turn them into nutters isn't it? I am glad you have your boy back, he sounds happier already :) onwards and upwards from here x.
