got my LGV theory tomorrow anyone on here done it?

Yep I have done it - but mine was a few years ago now. So much of it is common sense TBH - just keep your cool, and don't get flustered. Read the question carefully - sounds like a stupid thing to say, but so true!

If you have been revising for 2 months I am sure you will be fine - they are not trying to trick you or catch you out - just to check that you have the required knowledge for the practical test.

Good luck :)

thanks for that. thats sort of put my mind at ease!
i just hate taking tests! lol
also i feel like im learning lots of things ill never need to know again! but I suppose they cant just cater for us people wanting to drive horseboxes!

Hope you did well. If you've been revising from the dvd's that the DSA provide then you should be fine. I found mine was mainly common sense the questions i got. I probably did worse at the hazard perception as half of the scenarios made no sense.
Belated Good Luck anyway for you :)

yes i used the DSA cd, i revised all the speed limits and tachograph questions so well yet I didnt get 1 question on speed limits or tachographs!!!
so now im practising my hazard test with the DSA cd rom, although as ive been driving a car for over 10 years i cant see why i have to take the hazard part, if i cant spot a hazard then im sure I would have written off a dozen cars by now!!!!! lol
hazard perception 30th june, then my cat C1 test and then a new lorry!!! (thats if I pass!!!)

i passed mine - i got about 98 for the multiple choice but only passed by a couple of marks for the hazard perception. I found it difficult as i clicked the mouse at things that i knew would 'become' hazards before they actually did (so i spotted them too early really!) but that counts against you, try not to click too much as you lose points i think.

i took mine jan 09 so i dont have long to do my practical test, but will hopefully do the course at some point!

Sounds the same as what i've done. I did the CPC part too, so just got my CPC practical part four to do but then i decided to go for cat C instead of C1. Couldn't be bothered with two sets of stuff to do lol.

The hazard perception is a bit cak believe me. Makes no sense in parts so def. revise so you know what sort of numpty things they'll expect you to point out.

For the hazard perception I kept clicking too early until the driving instructor that I had my LGV lessons with told me to click when i see the hazard wait 2 seconds then click again.

I went by that and passed first time.

thanks for that, ive been revising off the cd rom, and your right, i see the hazards, click and im too early! so tha ts a excellent tip.
TBH i cant see why we have to do the hazard when ive been driving over 10 years and not 1 accident! i think if you have your driving licence you shouldnt have to take the hazard, i can understand if you do not have a driving licence, but I think people who have been driving are well aware of hazards!

Money and safety I guess they're thinking. I did mine straight after my theory as couldn't be bothered to go back another day and do it.
