i sent a pic of prince off to lesley and just got my reply!

Hi Chelsey

Well you have a very pretty horse here, it is also a feisty one! I feel that you absolutely love your girl and that you have a great relationship NOW but that you have had to work hard at this one. I do feel that she is VERY clever and that is great in one way but she can also use it to “get out of things”. You have spent many rides telling her “no, do it my way” and she has been quite “uppity”, NO MINE! Actually it is making me laugh at how strong willed she is, but then how you come back at her and tell her. It is like you two are sisters rather than horse and rider, does that make sense? I haven’t ever really said that before in a reading (although it is how my pony is with my daughter), but I can see that two stubborn minds have to lock sometimes and you have to hold out with your corrections til she gives in. She is good at twisting her body away to evade things and leave you with her strong head and neck to deal with.

[[ He is very "uppity" and thinks his way is the only way! and she right about having to wait for him to give in, and spot on with his twisting to leave me with a strong head and neck!]] good so far!

I can feel too that her head has bashed into you a number of times as she is not afraid to be in your space at all and you would turn round and just find her “there”. She is just being affectionate, but with no fear!
[[absolutleys spot on!! when i pooh pick him he always comes over to me, and quite often reverses into the back of me to scratch his bum!!]]

When she gives in, she is the most fabulous horse, bold and fleet with a great jump. She has an interesting jump when I look at her, it is high, but it is also “wide” like she would have done predominantly more cross country or hurdle style jumping than show jumping. I think she could jump really well to 4’ but then her style doesn’t let her go higher. However when I ask if you want to go higher the answer comes “in your head, yes, but practically NO”.

[[ that is exactly how he jumps! and he used to race steeplechase/hurdles! and LOVES xc! ]]

I feel that she is a lovely natured mare, but again, she would be bossy, and tell you when to do things – get my food, I want to go THERE not here! As you will see in the reading lots of the words are in capitals and that is where she has emphasized them! At her best she is the most wonderful horse you have ever had, at other times the most frustrating. I do not feel that you are scared of her though Chelsey more that you just react and tell her to get on with it, that is great, because if she saw a chink in your armour she will be in there doing that same thing again and again.

[[ he loves his food! he stamps and wickers like mad untill he gets it! yes the most amazing and frustrating, i nearly sold him begining of the year coz didnt feel i was getting anywhere with him]]

She feels well schooled, has nice paces and can do a bit of everything, and she feels well settled where you are, she has no particular issues she wants to tell you about, eg she is happy with what she has. As I said that though I got a feeling of “shelter” now I can feel that she goes in and out of a stable, but did you discuss getting a field shelter for when it is hot? That is the type of feeling I am getting, if you did discuss it she has picked up on it and wants that shelter! I do feel that she gets very irritated by the flies and prefers to be out of the way of them. She is feisty as I said so anything that upsets her a little will be REALLY ANNOYING to her, whereas a mild irritation to another.

[[ he is very well schooled and is a complete allrounder, this yard is the most settled hes been, now the shelter thing is abit spooky coz he used to walk in and out of his old stable at old yard and wasnt ever shut in, and we moved yards and he was in over night in winter but as of next winter were having new winter paddock connected to our stables so they wander in and out. and i asked if i could put a shelter in his paddock so he could stay out. yes he hates flies he gets bitten something terrible and comes up in huge lumps!
and hes a complete drama queen!]]

I feel that you have no problems riding her, especially now you get each other, and that she has no illness or pain issues she wishes to bring up. I looked over the photo again for pain, and although I can only see her front on, I couldn’t find anything, I did hear the word “sandcrack” though, so feel that she would have suffered with this in the past (or another horse very near her had, I don’t feel any pain just heard the word, sometimes horses just parrot (copy) what they are hearing too). I am drawn back to her feet again, so feel that again when you first got her you had issues getting her shoeing and feet right for her, that took a while, but she is fine now.

[[ mildy correct, he is lame at the mo but on his back end, hes never had a sand crack when i had him, and his feet are terrible hes had every shoe possible on and has just recently had bar shoes on and is now fine which shes got right!]]

Chelsey you have a very bright, fit and healthy horse here, she is feisty and strong at times but you are not worried about that, although I can see a “fast” ride with others will give you aching arms as she fights to catch up and win! I feel that she is really your friend/sibling and you have a great understanding of each other. I keep being drawn to the words about you NOT being scared of her, it is strange but I feel that when you first had her you were, and that is why she challenged you so much, now you know what she will do in the circumstances you are in, she doesn’t. I feel too that she has frightened others, she can set her neck and just go, and she has definitely had the last laugh with some over confident people. She is clever enough to always find a way around what people want, and give them what SHE wants to! Smart girl!

[[yes i was scared of him when i first had him as iv only ever had ponys, and hes sets his head and neck when were having a blast and cant be quite hard to pull up! he has dumped his old owner/rider at a fence and into a water complex coz she was a cocky cow and he said get stuffed, and hes broken a loaners nose and teeth to by head butting them on a fun ride while she was on him!]]

Chelsey, I hope that the reading all makes sense, please feel free to ask questions if there are areas that you do not understand. I know you didn’t have any particular questions but I hope things all got answered for you anyway.

All through the reading I have referred to her as she as she feels so feisty but have a feeling that I am wrong and this is a feisty gelding! I don’t change readings after I write them though so have left it as I got it.

[[did anyone else pick up on that haha!! he is certainly a fiesty gelding!!!]]

I think this is really interesting. Do you mind if inask how much it cost and how you paid? You can pm me if you prefer, do you do it by email with a picture then?

Thanks!

it cost £15, her names lesley anderson, she has a website, i bought it off ebay and payed through pay pal and emailed her a picture of prince, it wasnt anything special just a plain pic, and i was abit sceptic so i said absolutley nothing about him at all! il post the pic i sent.

Hi Buffey,

The reading sounds good. What did you think on the whole? Again, due to the other thread, I also bought 2 of these and found them to be VERY accurate for my girls. Tilly is very similar to your boy by the sounds of it. The only word really for her is cheeky and this was picked up on hugely. As well as the fact that one minute she will walk and the next, she suddenly turns and takes off. My other pony is the one I really wanted it for as I've only had her for 4 weeks and again, she was accurate with her in that she is very nervous and spooky. She panics at the slightest noise. I'm not beside my reading just now so will add more later...

Would be interesting to see who else has had any done and how they fared?

Interesting. I am interested in what peoples readings are like as i'm seriously thinking about having Roemers done. I've had good results in the past (accurate) when using a communicator but I have never used this lady before.

hi mishaspey
i was very impressed over all. i think my friend is going to get hers done and she has a very naughty horse so will be interesting to see if she picks up on it!

tis the punk style mane in that pic........ it screams feisty to me ;) :D

poor prince being told he looks like a girl :( :p

well i think he does have a feminine side to him haha!! his mane is abit wild isnt it :D that sea wind blowing through his locks :P i tell you what though, she says hes a fiesty gelding, he is a night mare around the ladys! he still thinks hes got his man bits!! :O

Gosh that one sounds as good as mine was! I am seriously impressed with Lesley. I was a little concerned by the 'she' to being with, but was impressed to read her last paragraph saying she thought 'she' was a gelding.

I have just sent of Bigbirds photo to see what Lesley makes of her. :)

I want to get both my 2 done now too!! Trouble is, I don't know how to go about it as I don't think her website is working well with me - maybe I was meant to be blonde?
Can anyone point me in the right direction of actually paying Lesley and getting 2 photos sent to her? Thanks

anyone see that derren brown programme about mediums etc? I dont want to put a dampner but most of that reading could apply to my horse as well. Not saying its wrong but seems a lot of general horsey stuff in there- Last owner not managing, rider /horse disagreements, annoyed by flies. Maybe i should get one done see if im proved wrong?

I do see your point but my reading was totally different and also spot on - have added it here so you can compare:

ell the first thing that I see are the amazing paces this beautiful mare has, she really does float doesn’t she? She has such a kind eye and nature too, but equally can be strong and almost explosive but only when “pushed”. I feel that now you have the measure of her Gill, you have had her long enough to know her quirks and likes and dislikes.
Spot on! Sirena does float, she is the kindest of mares but does have an explosive side and dumped me unceremoniously once for pushing her too much!

She is very loving towards you and will follow you round like a dog if you let her – some days she will happily stay in your space for hours just mooching – this shows that she is very happy to be part of your herd!
Again, spot on, she will follow me like glue and we very often 'play' in the school with shapes, she also copies me in spanish walk

I do feel that you two have worked really hard together schooling, to the point where you are working on things and sometimes she makes mistakes and sometime you do, that isn’t to be nasty, just a reflection on the time that you take to work with her, her huge scope for learning, and the fact that you work minutely on each movement. She loves this, but can get frustrated with herself sometimes, she is a perfectionist too!
Oh God - spot on again!

There is a Spanish Riding school move where a horse flies up into the air and kicks out backwards, sorry can’t remember the name, it is usually stallions that do it there, but I can see that she will do it in play! She is amazingly aware of her own body, and really a once in a lifetime horse for you.
This is seriously impressive, Sirena will Capriole for fun - she used to do it a LOT when I first backed her - and yes, she is my horse of a lifetime

I do feel that she will be with you for a long time, she is more than happy about this, and you have so much more that you will continue working on with her, really the possibilities know no bounds with her Gill. I feel that you are constantly proud of her, with the occasional “why on earth did she do that?” thrown in. That is where she is being perfect and then throws a tiny hissy fit to get her head, or move her leg out of line, you wonder why she does it, it is a mixture of youthful exuberance (she will always be young at heart) and experimenting with you to see if you will re-align her. She is wonderful with you, but really could be a handful with someone less experienced! There is no malice in her whatsoever, it is just “right I am bored; lets move my back leg here and see what happens”.
Bloody hell - spot on again, I have just taught her passage and piaffe, she just loves to learn and only today I was telling someone how proud I am of her and what an amazing little horse she is

I went on to ask her if there was anything she wants to do more of and the first thing she showed me was like a polishing cloth, she loves a good rub down, she really enjoys how it gets her muscles feeling before and after hard work. I am not sure what the cloth is made of, I can’t feel that Gill, but she really likes a hard rub down with some sort of cloth. She also says she has fun jumping, I don’t feel she does it often, and I can see her free jumping or loose jumping in a school, she really enjoys this, not for the going higher and higher, but for the fun stretching out her muscles, as I say she is a real athlete and totally aware of her own body. She is quite amazing really, she is the first horse that I have read for that is so aware of the top of her back to the tip of her feet. I feel that you are working towards a very high level of work on her. She is certainly capable and responding well.
I will certainly be spending more time giving her a good old rub down - I have loose jumped her in the school and will do more of that too

I can see Alfalfa, do you feed her that? It is interesting because how she is showing me is like a sort of hay, I almost feel that she has been fed this before she came to you. Did she come from a different country, because at this point that is the feeling I get?
This is the only thing that puzzled me a little, although I used to feed her alfalfa as a baby, she does not get it now as it is toooooo fatening and she can turn into a porker if I am not careful. I wonder if she means haylage as I sometimes let her have a tiny amount with her hay. Although she is spanish, I don't know how obvious that is from the photo sent and anyway she is british bred.

I do not feel that she has any pain at present, and nothing really bad in the recent past, she does get tight over her back and pelvis, but this is helped with the massage/rub down, that is something she would really like continued, as it helps her as well as being a nice feeling. I feel that you are really intuitive yourself to her Gill, so I don’t feel that there is anything you have missed out on with her, because you are already “getting her”. She seems confident that if she “sends you a message” you will work it out, and that means that she is totally happy with you. I would go so far as to say, calm, settled and happy. She really enjoys her work too, she is fabulously positive for a mare, and the strength and attitude are so much less than before, I really feel that they are occasional.
Spot on!

Finally I do keep seeing talk of a foal, then not, then a foal as if you are wondering whether to put her in foal, she would make a wonderful mum, whenever you are ready, but I really feel that she has more to learn with you before you do that, really another 2 years and then you will feel ready for that (it isn’t you HAVE to put her in foal, but you might consider it more strongly).
I did try to put her in foal a couple of years ago, she did not take and as I am a believer in fate I have not pursued it, but I do think about it and keep changing my mind - how on earth could she know that!

There is only good from this beautiful girl, she is amazing, I keep seeing photos of her, either she has been professionally photographed or will be. She is stunning.
LOL Sirena is probably the most photographed horse I have - there are millions of professional photos of her around the house, she has also appeared in a couple of brochures for various companies

Gill, I hope that the reading all makes sense, please feel free to ask questions if there are areas that you do not understand
Well, I am slightly gobsmacked and am seriously considering sending BigBird's photo to her - what do you guys think?

I am having one done for one of my horses who i am not getting on to well with just now. I think its all very interesting and if it helps and is accurate well thats fantastic, if not then its only £15! I will post it for you all when it arrives and my thoughts comments on it. Then i might get another one done :D

I'm very sceptical of things like this - but am pleased you got what you wanted out of it.

I have a mare who I am very tempted to get done. If they were spot on with her (bits of her past are shady, we know what happened but not exact order) and they were spot on with the relationship we have now, and identified her very major (but unusual) pain zone .... then I'd be impressed.

I just always feel guilty, like I was deliberatley attempting to catch them out. Pllus it's money and I'm sceptical. Who knows .... would be interesting.

Okay so here is my reading for Tilly: All I said was that her name is Tilly.

The first word that I get is cheeky, she is a wonderful mare, and really has a good temperament on the ground, she is loving and likes to be close to you. She keeps showing me cuddles from you, so she obviously loves these and I actually feel that she sort of forces you to do that – just about puts her head in your arms for a cuddle – she is sweet natured. When she is ridden though, that is when things get fun, I feel that she can be strong and fast and that although I feel that you have had her for a while and know her really well, she can still catch people out! She will fly off into a flat out and very strong gallop, when you only wanted a canter, she is also remarkably quick at turning when out too. I feel that there have been many times in the past when you have been sort of holding on for dear life as she flies off across the hillside! I don’t feel that she is at all bad Carrie, just that sometimes she gets the wind beneath her feet and just goes, ignoring the countryside the rocks and the valleys, she keeps going. She really loves a good gallop! (Too true, this is the pony who skips up 3 feet embankments for fun and turns the way she came with no indication of it).

The next word I got for her was heavy! I asked her what does that mean, I feel though that her weight is an issue that you have to keep an eye on, like my ponies I feel that she has a native constitution and can live off air so you are having to keep her feed and grazing down sometimes to avoid weight going on her. I don’t feel that she has been laminitic before, but just can get slightly large round the girth! I feel that you are very proactive Carrie and you would quickly change things if you saw her weight increasing to stop it. To be honest I feel that she lives off so little it is hard to underfeed her, does that make sense, because I feel when you first had her, she would put weight on, and you would be perplexed because she had so little intake. I guess that goes with her happy attitude! (She has been average to manage weight wise although recently has been more difficult to get the weight off of).

I just keep wanting to smile when I look at her photo, she is lovely and loving and makes everyone smile. I feel that she is geniunely you friend and you have worked hard with her to work her out, and keep her well. I feel that she has pushed new boundaries with you Carrie, in that you have had to research to “keep up with her”. (I looked into more NH at the start of the year because her ground manners were starting to wane).

I can see that she can be narky with other horses, she likes company but then can be a little “bitey (if that is a word)” however I feel that it is more “bossy” she likes to be “in charge – actually not just of horses – you too Carrie” and I feel that she would boss the others around if you were there, trying to get close to you and keep the others away. I do feel that sometimes she just “doesn’t like” another horse and she is best kept away from them but that is very rare. I actually feel she is quite a good judge of character, but you want to make decisions, not her! (There have been a few horses she has taken a dislike to and boy, was she scary! She would charge the length of the large field at them, when they weren't looking at her or anything. She made up her mind and that was that).

I just went back and asked her how she would describe herself to you – it was lovely as she said “your friend”. How wonderful, she feels this for herself Carrie, you obviously have a fantastic relationship. I feel that her cheeky behaviour has taught you a lot about horses and you have had to learn with her about how you deal with her, she is very strong minded when she wants to be, but again I feel that is usually far more when being ridden. (On the ground she is an angel to handle -minus those couple of months when I gave her a holiday - and ridden she is something else. Sets her neck and if she wants to go left, it's so hard to convince her to go right).

She also says “she loves you”, that is rare for a horse to say, as they don’t understand the concept, but she has heard you talking and she is clever. When I told her she had a home for life, she sort of looked blank as if to say “I never gave it any doubt”!! When I asked if she was free of pain, yes she is now, there have definitely been “feet issues” in the past, but again you learned and worked with her, they are gone now, and she is very happy and extremely well settled! A happy horse in a happy home Carrie, well done! (Again, she had a long holiday over winter due to her feet. They weren't growing and were getting weak so we decided to take her shoes off and give her a holiday. She's recently back in work and seems raring to go - barefoot).

Everyone will believe what they will. Yes, some generalisations and some not.

I had a reading done from Lesley last summer on all of my 3, will post all of them if you wish but this one is the most accurate and although I'm in tears reading this through (Bottle was PTS recently) it is alarmingly true:-

Gosh all your horses are completely different, I feel that Bottle is the quiet one, he is a happy go lucky chappy, but I again get the feeling that it hasn’t always been that way. I feel that if I had read for him a couple of years ago, I wouldn’t be looking at the same horse. I feel that he came to you in quite an emotional state, and you have had to work very hard with him to get his confidence and his schooling right.

It is almost as if he came to you broken but had no clue about anything else except evasion! He is a very clever boy, and I feel that he has a degree in how to “get out of things” not just riding but on the ground too. However, I keep getting in all three that you are a confident, quiet and calm horsewoman with a lot of knowledge and he has changed into an almost star pupil over the time you have had him.

(this is so true, he was so naughty when we first had him - everything from getting on to loading in the trailer).

As I see that he is laid back, I was trying to find out what winds him up and I do feel that he can be very strong, but again, it feels where there are lots of other horses around. I feel that he has a good jump too, and is a very useful type who can do a bit of everything.

(he was extremely strong and for a big heavyweight horse he had quite a "pop" in him, I did quite well at BSJA on him)

I asked him where he was before, but get absolutely nothing in my head (there way of communicating is to answer my questions by dropping pictures in my head) but I do get a feeling like a trapped nerve in my neck, so feel that his behavioural issues when you got him were caused by a back problem, and I feel a saddle problem but not with you. I feel that you saw that very quickly.

(I guess she got "nothing" as we'd had him for 12 years and maybe he couldn't remember? We had lots of problems with saddles in the beginning, he was so round, nothing seemed to fit)

Rachel I feel that he has bucked someone right off a couple of times, but that was not you or your family and it feels like I want to say “before your time” I am not sure why this is coming up, it might be to confirm what you already know or to tell you something that confirms what you suspect.

(he never bucked anyone off whilst we've had him)

I asked if he has the pain in his neck/nerve pain now, and it has gone, so it is in the past. I sort of want to say that he was tricky to fit a saddle to, to get one exactly right, but again feel that was in the past too.

(see above re saddles)

In terms of is he happy, yes absolutely, I feel that if you are pottering around the yard, he is happy to mooch around with you, turning all the buckets over and generally causing a mess. I also feel that he loves having baths!! Very unusual, but I think what he likes is the attention.

(he loved his baths, really loved them and loved all fuss and attention!)

I can also see two people on him and he thinks that is fun, do two children get on his back at the same time, they would be young kids and small, because there is no weight on his back, he thinks it is great.

(my friend and I used to canter round the field bareback on him together - don't worry he was quite happy about carrying us as he was shire x!)

He is a real family pony and I feel that you have plans for someone else to ride him in the future.

(that was true, after my mum died, a lady from work used to come and groom him and i was trying to tempt her to hack him out for me as he was so good to hack out and she hadn't ridden for years)

I feel that to keep him happy you need to keep him if that makes sense. He already is happy and you have put so much effort into him, I feel that his happiness is entirely due to you. He isn’t asking that you keep him, he doesn’t want to even contemplate going anywhere else when he gets all that he wants here.

I asked if anything would make his life better and the answer is cuddles! Simple and to the point! A very uncomplicated pony who could be very complicated in the wrong hands. I want to pass a message from him which is well done for not giving up. Sweetie!

(re-reading this has had me in tears again - Bottle I kept you like you asked, I just hope you're happy with mum now)

Gosh PricklyFlower no wonder you get emotional what a lovely reading.

My Bigbird reading is going to take 2 weeks - it seems Lesley is inundated with requests from HHO :) I will post it on here once it is here and would love to see your other readings.

anyone see that derren brown programme about mediums etc? I dont want to put a dampner but most of that reading could apply to my horse as well. Not saying its wrong but seems a lot of general horsey stuff in there- Last owner not managing, rider /horse disagreements, annoyed by flies. Maybe i should get one done see if im proved wrong?

Go on do it you will be amazed, I use her on every horse I get now.
