my horse of a lifetime (so far:wink3:) retired to the Blood bank last week. I got her off the track 9 years ago and she got me to Hickstead in the ROR finals amongst other things before arthritis got to her hock.

This is how she spent most of her time - bouncing :biggrin3:

Sadly I'm not in the position either financially or time wise to of kept her as a companion. I'm not a happy hacker and although I compete my YO's horse I couldn't face not having one of own.

So introducing Sidney :smile3: He's another full TB. I know both his parents and have known him since he was born. He's 2 so will stay in the field until next autumn then come down to the main yard and we'll start his career. The plan is eventually to do a bit of everything - fingers and toes crossed

Both his parents were winners on the track. The breeder does breed them with being racehorses in mind but doesn't really push for sales as she likes having them around to much :wink3: She's sold a couple of 5 year olds this year who are going on to be Eventers.

No idea why they wouldn't ? As long as they're a youngish age, over a certain height and carry condition well I wouldn't see why not ?

Hi Aran, long time no see *waves*

Thanks for the 'he's gorgeous' comments, I think so but then I'm biased. Getting to know each other at the moment. He's down the road with a mixture of 3,4 and 18yr olds. He's sussed out that the 18yr old is the best one to stick with :wink3: so I pop in on my way home and have a scratch, pick feet out etc.
