Got a VERY well bred TB yearling filly at work. Have to get her ready for the sales. Never done it before, but with a bit of help from my boss, I get pointed in the right direction! Trouble is, she is quite a 'stress head'. Can't get her to eat much, she paces here there and everywhere, in the box or in the paddock. She has a friend, can see whats going on and others too. She is chestnut but often looked grey with lather. Can't be good for her. She arrived last week highly doped up, and we are all reluctant to give her any 'calming juice' now, just hoping she will relax a bit on her own accord.
part of me is hoping when the work starts, (next week!) she will have other things to think about, right now we are giving her time to settle in, but its not quite going to plan!! Any ideas?
In the TB world, things HAVE to be done to a time scale, rather than individual needs, so sadly I have to get on with it, rather than there-there approach. I feel this isn't going to be easy, but if anyone has any tips, I'd love to hear about them.
