We got caught out this morning when we went out riding, it absolutley fell down, we could see the rain coming and we were miles from home
We made it to a copse of trees and took shelter there for 5 mins or so hoping that it was going to ease off but it didn't.....it got heavier and the rain started to come through the branches. We made a run for it (or rather a trot for it!) to my instructors and took shelter in her hay barn for a few mins and waited for the rain to ease.
Luckily after 5 mins or so it eased off and we made another dash for home. Typically as soon as we got in the open, with no shelter at all the heavens totally opened again and we had no choice but to carry on and get home as soon as we could.
We were back in about 10 mins and we were dripping fom every single part of us
even my knickers were wet LOL It took us quite a while to get the horses dry but they didn't seem to mind standing in the stable scoffing a hay net while they waited for the coolers to do their job
It was a great ride though, we certainly had a good laugh
