Hi guys!
Have started jumping my mare, but only have a dressage saddle for her, and im finding this all a bit uncomfortable on her, so am after a GP saddle. The only problem with this is, i'd need one that has longer girth straps, so can be used a dressage style girth. The reason being, with every GP saddle i have tried with her, with numerous girths, they have rubbed her raw, even with girth sleeves, but doesn't seem to happen with her dressage saddle and girth.
Is it just a case of buying a normal GP saddle that fits, and having the girth straps adjusted or can this not be done?

Thanks in advance
Kerry xx

You can get close contact saddles with long girth straps, although they tend to be eventing saddles but if you have a dressage saddle then it wouldnt really matter if you had a jumping one instead of a GP? Im thinking along the lines of these types:

The Exselle Integra Mk I and the MkII? Im sure you could find cheaper ones of course if you looked around.

I would think it would be just a bit more expensive than having normal girth straps replaced as they would use more leather.
