was at the thirlestane horse trials, happily looking round the stalls and i saw one of the fancy GPA hats so i went to try it on guess what?? PERFECT BLOOMIN FIT!! it was the most comfortable hat i have ever worn, if only i had £180 in my pocket was gutted lol!!! i'll keep dreaming that it finds me again ha ha!! had to have a wee rant

I'm sorry...but I won one in a competition...and yes, it's great.

bsja where going o ban them, i think p/c might already have. we bought the john whittaker much nicer and less money

I have had one for a while (rich ex-boyfriend bought it for me!)......and I think they're nothing special and vastly overpriced! I think they used to have the 'style' appeal, but now everyone is making similar styles, and for much much less money.

Oh, and mine was a perfect fit for about a week, then started to loosen off, so not the safest of hats to wear! I wouldn't spend my hard earned cash on another, I'd get a cheaper version.

GPA are from the same family as Pikeur, so you are paying for the brand. They have worked had to promote it and sponsored lots of top riders!

However they are pants in the safety tests, and you'd be pee'd off if you hit your head and had to replace it

I have a Speed Air

I know they're not supposed to be that great in terms of safety ratings (albeit relative to other hats \ styles) but it is bl**dy comfortable and keeps my head beautifully cool....unlike my old Champion Ventair which was like baking my head on gas mark 5 in the summer

I really wanted the limited edition one with the black grills instead of the silver as I thought they were a little less 'in your face' but I drew the line at paying an extra £50 just for a different colour

Who said the BSJA were going to ban them anyway

They'll p155 a hell of a lot of people off if they do....they're about the most common hat on the circuit now lol!
