Anyone use GPS trackers on their horse when hacking (especially alone) in case you fall off and they run off? Which ones are the best?

No but I’ve always thought it a great idea. We had a tractive on our cat and I planned to borrow it to attach to the saddle while I rode.

I was having this conversation with my LYM, we were talking about the Apple Air Tags, I'm not convinced that they would work in the wilds, but in normal countryside one on you and one on the horse would work - £120 for four

I saw those on Amazon - it would be good to have more than one

I think they are reliant on you being within Bluetooth range of an iphone and they piggy back onto that signal, any iphone like BT used to offer an incentive to you to let other users use a separate portion of your wifi broadband, hence the question about range in the wilds

I have never really thought about it but it is a great idea. The Tractive works well on my dog!
